Tom is a family man, living in Hatfield with his wife and children. His children go to school and nursery in Hatfield, and he works in Hatfield too. He cares deeply about the local area and is dedicated to making Welwyn Hatfield a better place to live, work and play.

In 2016 Tom was elected to represent the people of Welham Green and Hatfield South on Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council. He is now on two council committees reviewing the social and resources aspects of the council. He believes he can represent the people of Welham Green and Hatfield on these committees because he uses many local facilities, from membership of the Travellers Lane gym and taking his children to swimming lessons at the swim centre, through to involvement with the local football club.

On his vision for the ward, Tom said "I'll do all I can to ensure that those people I represent, whether they voted for me or not, have their thoughts and concerns heard and acted upon by the council. I will represent them honestly and transparently. I have a technical background and will look to bring the council kicking and screaming in to the digital age."

The Welham Green and Hatfield South Surgery is held on the first Saturday of every month. For further details, please see the Surgeries page.
