Ayesha Rohale
Panshanger candidate 2017

Ayesha RochaleMy name is Ayesha Rohale. I have recently completed my Law degree, so I have a really keen sense of justice and fairness. I'm a single parent and I have two adorable children. I can relate to people from diverse backgrounds and all ages.

I got involved in politics five years ago, after seeing my community being damaged by the politicians who were running our councils. I made a promise to myself to become the voice and champion of my local community and help the most vulnerable in our society.

I will work hard to get the very best for Panshanger and will do all I can to make sure the community's needs and rights are not compromised. I am especially keen to stand up for those most at risk in our community. I will ensure they are not ignored and are treated fairly and with dignity at all times. More broadly, I recognise that there is much to be done to secure the future of our spectacular garden city and its heritage, and I will fight hard to ensure that we don't make decisions now that will be bad both for you and for future generations.

After nearly two decades of failed promise after failed promise from Tory-dominated local and county councils, now is the time to say "enough is enough". Now is the time to vote for the change that the Tories have repeatedly failed to deliver.

Change that will bring more communication between councillors and locals - change that will secure more funding for education - change to a council that listens rather than dictates. Change where we set an example that the public is our strength and we are their voice.

The Liberal Democrats offer you a new way of thinking where you come first. May 4th is your chance to take that opportunity to vote Lib Dem for real change at both local and County level.

So if you have a problem, or an improvement you would like to see locally, please get in touch with me, ayesha@welhatlibdems.org.uk. I'd love to help.
